Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kino — the iOS app, Android app, browser extension, and the kinosocial.com website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by GAMURS Group ("Kino", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, joining the notify-me list, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use Kino. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement.
Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You may not share your account or transfer it to another person.
- Notify us immediately at hello@kinosocial.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post or transmit content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing on others' intellectual property.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Spam, flood, or disrupt watch-party chat rooms.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent security measures of the Service.
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service without our written permission.
- Scrape or harvest content from the Service.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Content you post
You retain ownership of any content you post in Kino (chat messages, display name, avatar). By posting, you grant Kino a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and deliver that content to other participants in the same watch-party session or replay.
When you delete your account, your messages are anonymized (attributed to "[Deleted User]") rather than removed, to preserve chat replay coherence for other participants.
Third-party streaming content
Kino does not provide, host, or license any streaming video content. The Service overlays a social layer on top of your existing subscriptions to Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and other platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service.
Intellectual property
"Kino," the Kino wordmark, app icons, and Service design are owned by GAMURS Group. You may not use them without our written permission. All show, movie, and episode titles are the property of their respective rightsholders and are displayed for identification purposes only.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GAMURS Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $10 USD if no payment was made).
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia, unless applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
